Ruby and Topaz are special items to make sockets in gears. Every piece of gear can be made four sockets at most. Ruby is the basic item which is used to make first two sockets normally; while Topaz is the advanced one which is used to make the third and the forth sockets. However, you also can use Ruby for the last two sockets if you want to try your luck.

How to obtain

Ruby & Topaz are dropped by some monsters, which means you can obtain them by killing monsters. Besides this, you also can get them from the Mall of Chaos.

How to use

Simply, put a Ruby or a Topaz into moon slog of Magic Cube and a piece of gear into sun slog; then click “Run” (the buttuon at right lower corner) to make a socket. If you are failed to make socket, the Ruby or Topaz will disappear, but the gear won’t.

Reminder: Crystals can not be used to improve the success rate when you are creating a socket in the equipment, and the maximum amount of sockets you can create is four.

A new socket will appear in the equipment
