Equipment Guide Basics:
Starting out in the world of Chaos Online you are given starter quests. It is very IMPORTANT that you do these quests. You will get a perfect level 8 armor from them, along with a elite level 5 ring. Not to mention some other important items you will get from these quests like your 3rd bag slot from a quest at 15, and then the 4th from a quest at 40.This will also familiarize you with the game system, and how it is played. It will get you used to the Robot *botting system*, as well as familiarize you with the auto run feature on the maps.
For equipment you have your armor, helmet, gloves, belt, boots.
For jewelry you have your necklace, bracelet left and right rings.
Crafting Items:
Any item above can be crafted at the blacksmith in any main town with the use of crystals and materials. If you speak to the blacksmith, about crafting, click on your class *there are 3 different races: Draconian *coming soon*, Natarian, and Genotian.*
There are 3 different classes to choose from there is the D-Archer, D-warrior, D-mage; N-Archer, N-Warrior, N-Mage, and the G-Gunmen, G-Warrior, and G-Paladin.
It is IMPORTANT that you pay attention to what item you are trying to craft before you hit create. Once the item is created, and if it was for the wrong class you 鈥渨asted鈥 your crystals and materials to create this item, because you cannot wear other classes gear of any kind.
If you create a item at a lower level you will use less crystals, also the higher level of crystal that you use increases the % of which it will be. There is a also a item called the 鈥渟pinel鈥 that you can purchase from the mall that will increase you % from 94 to 100; and this should ONLY be if you already have the 94 % on the item. The only bad thing about creating a item at lower level is that you have to be prepared for botting for crystals so that you will be able to upgrade your equipment.
Socketing Items:
How do you make sockets in your items? With a ruby or topaz! Rubies and Topaz鈥檚 are used to make sockets in everything; rubies have a lower % to make sockets and topaz鈥檚 are higher. You can have up to 4 sockets per any given item. You get these from either killing monsters and getting a drop, players selling them, or buying them from the mall for diamonds. How do you use these to create sockets? 1st open up your magic cube, 2nd put the item your wanting to socket in the sun, 3rd put the ruby or topaz in the moon, and 4th click run. It will tell you 鈥渟uccessfully created a socket鈥 or 鈥渇ailed to make the socket鈥. If it fails don鈥檛 worry it happens, and the only thing that you loose is your ruby or topaz.
Now that you have a socket in your equipment lets start embedding those gems. Gems such as the animal name gems 鈥淒ragons, Deers, Monkeys, Wolf, Phoenix, Lions, Tigers, Turtle etc..鈥 can only be embedded into equipment. If you create a level 5 gem *takes 81 level 1鈥檚 to make 1 level 5 gem鈥 you will get the max stats on the gem; however you can put level 1 gems in your equipment and yes you can remove it, but it will cost money. How do you embed these into your equipment? 1st open up your magic cube, 2nd put the gem of your choice in the moon, 3rd put a crystal in one of the star slots 鈥渋tems under level 40 will need a level 2 crystal to embed the gem; higher level equipments will require a higher level crystal鈥, and 4th click run. All your items under level 40 although you can have up to 4 sockets per item, each gem gives you a specific volume *level 5 gems give you a volume of 25: Basically what this means is in your equipment for items under 40 you are only able to socket 2 gems due to the fact of the capacity of the equipment at 40 is 60. Once you upgrade the equipment to 40+ you will be able to socket the 3rd gem. The ONLY equipment you will be able to put your 4th gem in outside of a weapon is your suit, and that is at 68.
Reinforcing Items:
How can you reinforce your items? With Violets and Super Violet Gems! Violets reinforce equipment from 1-6, and super violets reinforce equipment from 7-8. If your reinforcing fails however you will loose the violet, and it will cause the reinforcement to drop down by 1. Example of this is; you have your armor to reinforcement 3 and are trying to reinforce it to 4, if it fails don鈥檛 get discouraged it happens, but you will drop from 4 to 3 and loose the violet gem you are using. However once you use your violets and get your reinforcement to 6 it will NOT drop down past that again, but it will require the use of super violet gems. Super violets are worked the same way except they reinforce from 7-8, and if they fail if your going from 6 to 7 it does not effect it, but if your going from 7-8 and it fails it will drop back down to 6.
What鈥檚 the benefit to reinforcing your equipement? For armor itself it will increase your physical defense and your magical defense. For jewelry it will increase your physical attack and your magical attack. It also helps with increasing your capacity to be able to socket your gems as well.
Upgrading Items:
How do you upgrade your items? With either a moonstone, sunstone, amethyest! Each of these offers a different % to upgrading.
To create a moonstone you will need 5 level 3 crystals.
To create a sunstone you will need 4 level 4 crystals, 1 beast skin, 1 firerock, and 1 life leaf.
To create a amethyest you will need 2 level 5 crystals, 3 beast skins, 3 fire rocks, and 3 life leafs.
To use one of these you will need to 1st open your magic cube, 2nd put the equipment in the sun, 3rd put a the moonstone/sunstone/amethyest in one or all of the star slots, and 4th click run.
Each of these items is your own personal preference really. For lower level items it is best to use moonstones due to the fact you can use up to 5 moonstones on any given equipment upgrade. If it fails you will loose the moonstone(s) that you used to try and upgrade the equipment, but other than that you loose nothing on the equipment itself. Keep in mind though that the only equipment you can upgrade is perfect equipment.
Reset Skill Stones:
What exactly does this mean? Every time you upgrade your armor you are given 鈥渋nitial鈥 stat鈥檚 these are the stats that are in blue on your equipment. The most you can have on the equipment is a maximum of 2 per equipment. How can you reset these? There is a item sold in the mall called the 鈥淧urgation Stone鈥 . This stone will reset those initial skills. How is this stone used? 1st you unequip the item that your wanting the stats to be changed on, 2nd open your magic cube, 3rd put the equipment in the sun, 4th put the purgation stone in the moon, 5th *this will depend on the level of your equipment* put the level crystal required in either the top left star slot for the top stat OR in the top right star slot for the bottom stat, 6th click run. There is a chance that it can fail because this is not 100%. If it fails you will loose both the crystal and purgation stone.
There is also a 鈥淎wakening Stone鈥 that is sold in the mall. What does this item do? It will awaken the 2nd initial stats on your equipment. For example every time you upgrade your armor the stats will change, and even if you have the 2nd awakened on a item, and then you level it up to the next level there is a chance that you will only get 1 initial stat on your equipment. How does this item work? 1st you unequip the item you are wanting to awaken stats on, 2nd open your magic cube, 3rd put the equipment in the sun, 4th put the awakening stone in the moon, 5th *this will depend on the level of the equipment your trying to awaken as well* put the level crystal required in the sun slot, and 6th click run.
Repairing Items:
How can you repair? There are 2 different ways to repair there is repairing at the npc which will cause you to loose durability. Or a perfect repair which requires the use of ores or repair scrolls to work.
To do the perfect or special repair you will need to know how many ores are needed, and what type are needed. For normal *white* items you will need a iron ore 2, for refined *green* items you will need a iron ore 3, for elite items *blue* you will need a iron ore 4, and for perfect items *pink/purple* you will need iron ore 5.
After you know what type of ores are needed you will need to know how many you need to repair each item. Items lower level normally need one, but as you grow the item in level when you upgrade it you will have to add more ore to the cube.
How do you use the ore to repair the item? 1st remove the item, 2nd open your magic cube, 3rd put the equipment in the sun, 4th put the iron ore *whatever level is required for the type of armor your repairing* in the moon *or star slots for higher level items*, and 5th click run and it will give you a Perfect Repair!
